The primary purpose 

This position will be passionate about developing products and crafting new product codes for items recognized as potentially strategic or valuable to Univar’s Energy Business Model. This role involves collaborating closely with the US ADS Team, Univar Energy Industry Vertical, Mining, and Blending to assist with new product blends, sample preparation, and new product codes.

Develop and facilitate the growth of new products, suppliers, and existing products/suppliers. Collaborate with the field sales and ADS Technical team, Procurement, and Materials Planning to support growth initiatives and new markets.

Support and Maintain Waxahachie’s dedicated ADS laboratory.

What you’ll do:

• Coordinate new products and samples for fit into Univar’s strategic path forward.
• Work with Sales and ADS Team to identify new products
• Build product codes in SAP for recently developed products and blends
• Ship out samples and sample kits
• Work with the field and ADS Team
• Generate Monthly reports featuring new product launches and development stage
• Interacts and facilitates opportunity creation in our regions
• Makes plans and positions the field to win opportunities
• Synchronize growth with regional operating plans – Opportunity Management.
• Enhance return on investment through strategic placement and growth identification
• Participate in customer and sales meetings as required
• Lead Univar Energy ADS Lab
• Maintain Lab equipment
• Maintain Lab compliant with Univar Standards
• Reduce waste, generate waste profiles, dispose of waste
• Create and maintain blending SOP’s
• Control of documents in SharePoint

What you’ll need:

• SAP Trained and Certified
• Lab Management Experience
• Hazardous Sample Shipment Certified
• Chemical Handling
• SAP Certification
• 5 years Lab experience minimum
• Associates Degree or equivalent experience or BS Chemistry, Biology or Science
• Microsoft Excel, Work, Power Point
• RCRA Certification
