We are looking for a driven Product Analyst to join our Ingredients + Specialties team in Mexico City!
The Product Analyst will play a key role in supporting the development, analysis, and execution of product line strategies across the Mexican market. This position partners closely with Product Management, Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Regulatory, and Suppliers to ensure profitable and sustainable growth of the product portfolio.
A core focus of this role is building actionable insights through data analysis, market intelligence, and performance tracking, while ensuring accurate product, pricing, and supplier information across systems.
What you'll do
- Serve as a key support partner to the Product Manager by structuring, analyzing, and interpreting data related to product performance, supplier performance, market trends, and pipelines.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for suppliers, supporting negotiations and execution related to pricing, volumes, availability, logistics, lead times, and payment terms.
- Prepare and maintain business performance reports, including supplier reviews, product KPIs, sales pipelines, POS (Point of Sales), margin analysis, and cost comparisons (estimated vs. settled cost).
- Support the development and maintenance of price lists, and contribute to pricing strategy discussions based on market dynamics and supplier conditions.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis using import data, internal tools, and external sources, covering market size, competitors, manufacturers, substitutes, pricing benchmarks, and supply chain insights.
- Coordinate material and supplier setup activities, including new material creation, extensions, and changes, ensuring data accuracy and timely approval across systems.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain to support purchasing decisions, inventory alignment, and availability planning for defined suppliers and product lines.
- Act as a technical partner with EHS, Regulatory, Operations, and Quality teams, coordinating documentation requests and supporting change‑control processes.
- Track and follow up on product samples requested.
- Support data hygiene initiatives, including import file cleanup and ongoing master data accuracy.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related area.
- Prior experience in the chemical industry or in product management, business analysis, supply chain, or commercial support roles.
- Strong analytical mentality demonstrating skill in translating data into clear business insights and recommendations.
- Solid understanding of pricing, cost structures, supply chain, and commercial concepts.
- Experience working with SAP; familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and external partners.
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail.
- Proactive, organized, and driven by a passion for achieving goals, with a strong sense of ownership and problem‑solving capability.
Where you'll work
This is a hybrid opportunity. You will work 3 days of the week from the office and 2 days from home. Office location: Tultepec, EDOMEX.
