Position Title:

Summer Student

What You’ll Do:  

• Request samples from chemical manufacturers and internal Univar branches to ship to customers

• Process sample requests using in-house computer database and software

• Package and ship samples to customers

• Maintain sample inventory: order new samples, dispose of expired samples, and update sample inventory sheet

• Be able to handle rush requests effectively

• Track shipments and confirm delivery

• Other duties as required

What You’ll Need: 

• Minimum two years of Chemistry post-secondary education or related experience is preferred

• Knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word would be an asset

• Be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge in TDG and WHMIS or GHS would be an asset

• Strong problem solving and organizational skills

• Strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment

• Indoor/outdoor warehouse environment
