At Univar Solutions, we’re looking for a driven and strategic Sales Development Manager to focus on “big potential” accounts – customers we don’t supply today, but should. This is your chance to make a measurable difference and help us expand our footprint in the Dutch market.

The Role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying, targeting, and winning new high-value customers across diverse industries. You’ll lead the full business development process – from mapping key prospects to closing the deal and ensuring a smooth handover to the account management team.

You’ll be based in our Zwijndrecht office, be able to work hybrid and will:

 

 

• Identify and prioritize high-potential strategic accounts with strong growth opportunities.
• Develop tailored sales strategies and value propositions to win new business.
• Collaborate with technical, supply chain, and commercial teams to deliver best-in-class solutions.
• Drive pipeline growth and consistently exceed revenue and margin targets.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.

Who You Are

You’re an accomplished sales professional with a proven track record in business development and strategic account acquisition. You bring both the persistence of a hunter and the strategic mindset of a growth leader.


You are:
• Highly motivated by results and driven to exceed ambitious targets.
• Experienced in consultative selling, negotiation, and complex deal management.
• Commercially sharp, analytical, and confident in identifying customer needs.
• A strong communicator in Dutch and fluent in English.
• Independent, proactive, and able to balance short-term wins with long-term growth strategy.

What You Bring
• Several years of B2B sales or business development experience, ideally in industrial, chemical, or ingredient distribution sectors.
• A proven ability to open doors and win large, high-value accounts.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to build trusted partnerships at senior levels.
• A structured, disciplined approach with a passion for driving measurable results.
