Duties

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Manager in Widnes. In this role you will manage the day-to-day deliveries of products to our customers, 
always ensuring safety and compliance within our operational driver teams. You will support our operational driver teams, as required, to ensure that their
role can be completed to the best of their ability, together with interact with customers to ensure that the deliveries are completed successfully to support service levels.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Ensure compliance and safety targets are met
• Manage an operational driver team (currently 17 drivers)
• Manage the end-to-end process of customer deliveries, from receiving the plan to ensuring delivery
• Manage delivery fails and plan to reduce where possible
• Manage additional equipment to ensure your team of drivers have the correct equipment to complete their role
• Provide direction, focus and leadership for your team of drivers
• To review performance against agreed objectives for your team of drivers
• To operate within agreed budgets and support relevant analysis
• Be an effective team member of the wider Univar transport function and share ideas and best practice around the network
• Ensure the needs of your personal development plan are met
• Ensure driver engagement levels are maintained and improved where possible

We Are Looking For

• A UK resident and currently living in the UK
• Have the right to work in the UK - an offer of employment is subject to satisfactory proof of this.
• Driving Licence
• Driver CPC
• Transport manager CPC
• Care deeply about delivering a world class service
• ADR license – Desirable
• Experience with bulk barrel deliveries – Desirable
