The Fleet Manager for SO2 will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of SO2 trailers, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. This role includes dispatch management, advisory on trailer repairs, and acting as the subject matter expert on SO2 operations. The Fleet Manager will also engage directly with customers on-site, particularly during emergencies, and collaborate with Sales, EHS, and Transportation for comprehensive assessments.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

 

Trailer Maintenance Management:

 

  • Oversee maintenance schedules for SO2 trailers to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor maintenance activities and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Verify invoices from repairs and approve for payment.
  • Responsible for oversight and improvements of SO2 tanker components, and Univar owned parts list.
  • Offer expertise and advice on trailer repairs, ensuring all repairs are conducted in accordance with industry standards

 

 

 

Dispatch Management:

 

  • Oversee daily operations of SO2 trailer fleet, ensuring optimal utilization and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Oversee the dispatching process to ensure timely and efficient delivery of SO2 products.
  • Coordinate with Commercial Transport Dispatch, Account Managers and logistics teams to optimize routing and scheduling.

 

 

 

Emergencies:

 

  • Be available to step in as a driver during emergencies to maintain operational continuity and support the fleet as needed.
  • Serve as the go-to expert on SO2 operations, providing guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
  • Attend emergency incidents as required. Including at customer sites, Ineos plant, or during transportation.

 

 

 

Customer Support

 

  • Act as the primary Univar representative at customer sites during emergencies, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
  • Assist in Customer Site Assessments with Univar H&S Managers, and IneosINEOS Representatives.
  • Support Account Managers on site as required.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to visit customer sites for assessments, identifying opportunities for service improvement and customer satisfaction.

 

 

 

Driver Assessments

 

  • Assessing drivers and providing feedback to the Transportation Manager who will address any concerns/findings/etc.
  • Develop driver assessment training program for new and experience drivers
  • Assess driver relations with INEOS and Univar Customers to ensure professionalism and that any concerns are addressed.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the manager.

 

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

 

  • High School Diploma, required.
  • Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation.
  • Strong understanding of EHS regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • EHS certified and trained.
  • Willingness to travel for customer site visits and assessments.
  • Knowledge of pressurized tank vessels
  • Valid AZ license
  • Knowledge of Driver hours and E-log an asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
  • Capable of assessing and implementing process improvements.

Pay and Benefits:

This position is currently vacant. The annual expected salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
