Account Manager - Inside Sales for Chemical Distribution & Services

What does an Account Manager do at Univar Solutions? 

Your task is to develop and expand the portfolio of existing customers across our region, as well as identifying and bringing in new opportunities. Your mission is to strengthen relationships, so customers always choose Univar Solutions as their primary source of chemicals. The vision is creating new business and further diversify your portfolio and increase the customer base. You’ll be measured on five Key Performance Indicators: Activity, Spot Business, Pipeline, Retention, and Margin Management.  .  

You work independently and with a business growth strategy, setting your own action plan with goals and objectives. You will be based in our Malmö Office and the majority of customer interactions will be done virtually (via Phone, Teams-meetings & E-mails) but with the possibility to go visit customers F2F when needed.  

 

 

Who might you be? 

We believe that you are a natural seller who is looking to take the next step in your career and see an interest in growing within B2B sales. Although chemicals may sound complicated and hard, the focus of this position (competence wise) is on the development of the business and relationships. We have ample inside knowledge on the product and supply chain side, and we win as a team. 

To be successful in this position, we expect you to be goal-oriented, comfortable working in a high pace environment, bring a lot of power of initiative, and can gain the trust of the people you communicate with. You have a track record within B2B sales and are motivated by working with multiple stakeholders across different industries.  

What else? Since communication is key to this position, professional proficiency in Swedish is a requirement, as well as a high level of confidence in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in other Nordic languages is also meriting.  

 

What does the team look like? 

In the business unit you will find a team of over twenty commercial colleagues spread out in the Nordics. Our Headquarter in Malmö, you’ll find the other Account Managers in your team and approx. seventy colleagues in different functions and teams. Your manager is based in Gothenburg but is a frequent visitor to the office! We have a wide variety of backgrounds and span all generations of the current job market.
