The Technical Account Manager, reporting to the Beauty & Personal Care Business Manager, is the resource of the Commercial Area, which, in coordination with its reference Commercial Account Manager, follows, in terms of sales, promotion, maintenance and development, the Customers in your area for the Personal Care sector, as regards the purely technical aspects of the sale itself.
Main responsibilities
- Develop effective customer relationships and actively seek new product opportunities
- Prepare technical presentations on cosmetic formulations for the customer's R&D department
- Support the customer's R&D department at a technical level
- Visit customers on high-profitability projects, create relationships and reliability on a technical level
- Follow the sales cycle (proposals, samples, visits, etc.)
- Develop new perspectives proactively and monitor competitive activity
- Representing suppliers and exchanging market information effectively between the main trading partners, maintaining compliance standards
- Constantly monitor the market by mapping technological innovations, regulatory updates and reference legislation
- Keep the CRM system up to date, generating "Target Business Opportunities" that ensure growth.
Way of working
- Establish new relationships and maintain existing relationships with customers.
- Outline a clear picture of the market: customers, applications and competitors.
- Follow the market (products, opportunities, competitors, new suppliers, new customers, etc.)
- Identify potential markets in Italy for the assigned products.
- Research and identify potential customers for products or services.
- Visit potential and existing customers.
- Prepare presentations explaining products to customers and potential customers
- Manage and interpret customer needs.
- Offer after-sales support and technical services, solving customer problems.
- Provide technical documentation for the products.
- Collaborate with other sales team members and other technical experts.
- Support marketing by attending trade fairs, conferences and other marketing or technical events.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product training.
- Participate in fairs and seminars to promote products or learn about developments in the sector.
- Stay informed on industry news and trends, products, competitors, existing and emerging technologies and on the latest developments of the product line
- Provide the sales team with technical support on specific product lines or projects, working closely with the product management team.
- Develop direct and close relationships with the customer's technical team to promote and develop the product portfolio
- Participate in training courses and seminars on suppliers to improve and update personal understanding of products and application experience
- Anticipate and effectively meet the needs of customers and suppliers, taking responsibility for their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Prepare Technical Web Seminars for Customers
- Ensure that the prospect of customers and suppliers is a driving force behind corporate decisions and activities.
Profile:
- Chemical / scientific background (Degrees in Chemistry, CTF, Cosmetic Sciences and / or Cosmetological Sciences, Pharmacy);
- Knowledge of the Cosmetic market and of the reference raw materials;
- Commercial experience in the distribution of chemical, cosmetic and specialist products;
- Fluent English (written and spoken);
- Considerable predisposition to interpersonal relationships;
- Good communication skills;
- Strong negotiating skills;
- Ability to guide the customer to choose the most suitable product;
- Strong orientation towards achieving results;
- Operational autonomy, excellent planning and organization skills, ability to work by priority;
- Entrepreneurship in managing your area;
- Predisposition to work with different and inter-functional teams;
- Strong motivation, desire to get involved, curiosity, enthusiasm, open-mindedness and ability to work in a local and international context;
- Availability to travel.
