Senior Inclusion & Belonging Specialist:

Delivering the tactical execution of Univar Solutions’ Inclusion and Belonging strategy. With a focus on delivering fair and inclusive processes, the Sr. Analyst, Global Inclusion and Belonging will be a key driving force in delivering outcome-focused work in close partnership with HR, supporting talent retention and development. The post-holder will also serve as a key employee advocate, collaborating with and strengthening our Employee Resource Networks (ERNs) and supporting key outreach work on inclusion and belonging.

 

What You'll Do:

Process Assessment & Redesign

  • Lead Inclusion and Belonging assessments on organizational processes in hiring, pay, performance, promotion, and internal mobility.
  • Partner with HR and supporting functions to implement action plans to mitigate identified risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Track and close remediation actions; maintain a log with root-cause analysis of systemic issues.

 

Program Management & Governance

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the evolution and implementation of the global Inclusion and Belonging strategy.
  • Lead ongoing governance of the strategy including the management of meetings, action trackers, risk registers, and progress updates.
  • Prepare reports for the Sr. Director of Global Sustainability and Social Impact; surface risks and decisions needed.
  • Manage timelines and cross-functional dependencies with HR, Legal, IT, Facilities.

 

Change Enablement & Capability Building

  • Develop and deliver training resources and assessment criteria (bias awareness, interview and shortlisting processes, promotion criteria etc.).
  • Partner on, and deliver, effective communication of processes, updates and resources that support the I&B strategy.

 

Employee Resource Networks

  • Act as the central point of contact for Univar Solutions regional ERNs, supporting the network leads in the delivery of the networks core objectives
  • Provide support and resources to the ERNS to help ensure effective delivery and governance of these groups

 

Outreach and Communications

  • Lead internal and external communications on key I&B messaging and progress, collaborating with global and local communications colleagues.
  • Support customer and supplier outreach events on I&B, driving positive outcomes through industry-focused events and initiatives.

 

Data, Analytics & Reporting

  • Partner with HR and People Analytics to track metrics of program success, build dashboards, and maintain quantitative assessments of key deliverables (e.g., adverse impact ratios, controlled pay gap analyses).
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on voluntary and mandatory data disclosure requirements and prepare resources to keep leadership informed.
  • Coordinate external reporting requirements with the global Sustainability and Social Impact team, HR and Legal teams.

 

Compliance, Risk & Assurance

  • Ensure mapping of and compliance with local and national laws/regulations across regions.
  • Partner with the Legal team on testing compliance readiness and disclosures to support legal compliance on all relevant Inclusion and Belonging topics.

 

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years in HR Operations, Inclusion and Belonging or related fields (global experience preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, or Multicultural Studies, Diversity Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with process design and improvement.
  • In depth knowledge on strategic integration of I&B in organizations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, able to work effectively in a matrix organization with other functions including HR, Legal, Commercial leads.
  • Strong written communication (policy/process documentation, executive-ready reporting).
  • Strong understanding of external frameworks for voluntary and mandatory disclosures and action related to organizational I&B.

 

Where You'll Work:

This is a hybrid-based role that will report out of our headquarters in Downers Grove, IL

 

Pay & Benefits:

  • The salary range is $100,000 - $110,000. This role is also eligible for incentive pay.
  • The specific salary offered to a candidate may be motivated by a variety of factors including the candidate’s meaningful experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
