Director, Compensation:

We’re seeking a strategic, business-minded Director of Compensation to lead compensation strategy in a Private Equity–backed, fast-paced industrial environment. This is a high-impact role for a leader who thrives on pace, complexity, and partnership—and who wants meaningful exposure to senior leaders.

In this role, you’ll lead and develop a strong compensation team while partnering closely with business leaders, HR, Finance, and ownership to solve real business challenges—growth, performance, transformation, and talent outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and develop a strong compensation team with a focus on capability, resilience, and impact
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and HR Business Partners, bringing data-driven insight and sound judgment
• Design and evolve compensation programs (base pay, incentives, job architecture) that support pay-for-performance and value creation
• Translate complex compensation concepts into clear, practical guidance for leaders and employees
• Balance strong governance with speed, flexibility, and business pragmatism

What You’ll Bring:

• 8+ years of progressive compensation experience, including people leadership
• Experience in Private Equity–backed, high-growth, or transformation-oriented environments
• Strong business insight, intellectual curiosity, and comfort operating at pace
• Ability to influence, educate, and build credibility at all levels, including executives and ownership groups
• CCP strongly preferred

Where You'll Work:

This is a hybrid-based role that will report out of our headquarters in Downers Grove, IL

Pay & Benefits:

• The salary range is $180,000 - $210,000. This role is also eligible for incentive pay.
• The specific salary offered to a candidate may be motivated by a variety of factors including the candidate’s meaningful experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
• Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental. We also provide 401k matching for retirement and flexible time off.
