Title: Site Manager

We are looking for a Site Manager who reports to Regional Operations Manager and is responsible of Univar Solutions Cusago site.
Site manager has overall responsibility for the site and operations. Maintains receiving and dispatch of packed & bulk chemicals, added-value bulk operations (bulk storage, blending, filling, production etc), warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
- Site Manager has full responsibility for site management and is accountable for maintaining quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Site Manager act as the manager under Legislative Decree 105/2015 and is delegated by the employer for safety matters and by the Board of Directors for environmental matters.
- work in compliance with regulations (e.g., Law 231/2001, Legislative Decree 152/2006, Legislative Decree 81/2008, and Legislative Decree 105/2015), procedures, and instructions related to Safety, Environment, and Quality.
- ensure compliance with group policies. As the employer’s delegate for Safety and the site’s environmental manager, organize work activities in accordance with current regulations, considering the safety and environmental consequences.
- Optimize and effectively manage site activities
- Responsible for stock quality, inventory management, and cycle counts
- key driver on annual budget proposal and costs and efficiency optimisation following the logic of continuous process improvement, CAPEX definition and implementation, management of productive and logistic flow, optimisation of the stock levels and quality in collaboration with supply chain team, management of non-compliance actions and implementation of corrective actions, management of KPIs concerned, legal responsibility for the site.
- responsible for implementation of safety, environment, quality and sustainability standards in collaboration with EHSQ department and all the activities related to national regulation and company internal standards.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain department to optimize inbound and outbound flows
- Propose investments based on operational safety and environmental needs
- Manage and develop the team
- Handle relationships with authorities and third parties involved in site management
- Responsible for improvements in quality, safety, and environment, working closely with HSE and Quality departments
- Manage waste operations in compliance with current regulations
- Interact (in person or remotely) with Public Administration to request or provide information (e.g., for licenses, tax payments)
- Represent the company with power of attorney or delegation during meetings with Public Administration or inspections (e.g., Guardia di Finanza, ARPA, ASL, INPS, INAIL, Labor Inspectorate)
- Authorized to process data within the scope of their role, following instructions from the Data Controller
- Ensure collaborators comply with data processing instructions
- Responsible for updating the SEVESO notification and uploading it to the ISPRA portal
- Define RIR policy, update safety studies or RIR analysis, inform external parties about Major Accident Risks, and conduct Seveso training
- In case of a major accident, ensure containment measures and coordinate with external entities for emergency management
- Manage UTF product stock and daily loading/unloading registers
- Ensure proper handling of dangerous goods shipments/receipts
- Plan and organize work activities and schedules
- Ensure safe and quality work execution by team members
- Monitor mandatory training with HSE
- Support employee growth and development
- Ensure compliance with company procedures (quality, safety, environment) and legal requirements
- Propose process revisions and procedure updates when needed
- Act autonomously within delegated budget to handle emergencies
- Take preventive measures against major accident risks
- Assess legal requirements before implementing changes to processes, hazardous product storage, or organization
- Communicate risk status and updates to authorities for emergency planning and public information

Requirements and Experience:
- Degree in technical-scientific disciplines as Chemistry – Chemical Engineering or similar fields
- 5 years’ experience at least in the role
- Certified safety advisor for dangerous goods transport (ADR directive 96/35/EC)
- Good command of English
- Excellent knowledge of SAP
