We are looking for a motivated EHS Specialist to join our company!

The EHS Specialist supports the EHS Manager in managing all aspects related to Health, Safety, and Environment. They ensure compliance with Group Policies. The EHS Specialist is in charge of the organization of health monitoring and EHS-related training.

 

Main Responsibilities and Activities

  • Identify and analyze legislative requirements related to Safety and Environment applicable to the company;
  • Develop procedures and instructions concerning Safety and Environmental aspects;
  • Participate in root cause analysis of incidents/near misses and in identifying preventive/corrective actions;
  • Contribute to risk assessments for new products, processes, facilities, and their modifications;
  • Prepare, either independently or with external consultants, the company’s Risk Assessment Documents (DVR) and Interference Risk Assessment Documents (DUVRI);
  • Support activities related to unloading safety at customer sites;
  • Complete customer EHS questionnaires;
  • Contribute to internal communication efforts to promote a safety culture;
  • Translate EHS documentation issued by the Group;
  • Collect EHS performance indicators and manage related reporting;
  • Support the Training Plan and deliver internal training on Safety and Environmental topics;
  • Participate in internal audits related to Health, Safety, and Environment;
  • Participate in customer/supplier audits on Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects;
  • Support the organization during inspections by Competent Authorities in the field of Health, Safety, and Environment;
  • Manage the organization of health monitoring, ensuring compliance with the timelines of the health surveillance program;
  • Act as ASPP (Health and Safety Officer) for the Cusago Site, participating in:
    • the Cusago Site Safety Committee;
    • coordination meetings for extraordinary maintenance activities;
    • preparation of DVRs;
    • development and maintenance of safety conditions at the Site;
  • As a data processing appointee, is authorized to perform data processing operations within the scope of their activities and role, following the instructions provided by the data controller.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in environmental science, Health and Safety, Chemistry Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in an EHS role, preferably in an industrial chemical environment.
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and Seveso normative.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken);
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong results orientation;
  • Operational autonomy, excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize;
