Primary Purpose:

The Production Planner is responsible for balancing customers demand requirements with production capacity and finished good stock levels. Utilizing tools and SAP to provide production schedules in a changing fast-paced environment.    

What You’ll Do:

• Coordinates production planning efforts for the plant between customer service, planning and shipping
• Achieves appropriate balance between delivery, inventory, quality, and material cost objectives
• Convert planned orders to process orders for organization’s planning align with customer requested ship dates
• Maintains daily emission tool and schedule no less than 3 days hard schedule, additional 4 days soft schedule
• Review and process production demand via MD07 for make to order, safety stock items
• Plan for blending, labeling, and looking out beyond soft schedule to pull orders in to meet sales forecast monthly
• Communication with the customer service to align production schedule to customers requested delivery date
• Monitors material needed to support schedule and communicates with purchasing regarding materials that might be needed
• Troubleshoots inventory or order issues in SAP and resolves production scheduling conflicts as needed
• Schedule production to align with reduced flush and gain on-line efficiency

What You’ll Need:

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3-5 years in a distribution or manufacturing environment
• Proficient with production planning 
• Proficiency with MS Excel
• SAP experience required
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent management skills
• Highly adaptable and ability to work under pressure
• Efficiently communicate with legal management and internal business clients
