Primary Purpose

The Corporate Accounts Sales Specialist (CASS) works directly and in tandem with the Corporate Account Manager (CAM) to fulfill required sales responsibilities and customer sales support functions at the Corporate Account level. Responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, execution, control, reporting, and completion of sales and customer support services.  Manages against expectations and established standard operating procedures between Univar Solutions and customers to ensure that requirements are met. Partnered with Corporate Account Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sustainability, Commercial Operations and Sales to timely complete internal sales and external customer support functions. 

 

 

Requirements

  • Hybrid – 2 days in office/3 days remote
  • Office base - Bradford or Cardiff
  • 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

 

 Key Deliverables

Process all customer pricing/material inquiries, requests, and required maintenance, including system entries or modifications, margin analysis, cost investigation, index/formula pricing, price supports/CUPS, forecasts, etc.

Create and supply customer-specific price sheets as required per customer terms and conditions, including all modifications and additional required data.

Create, monitor, and supply all regulation, documentation, survey, and sample requests as requested by customers or CAMs/Sales.

Investigate and resolve customer invoice discrepancies and disputes related to customer pricing, minimum order quantities or weight conversion issues.

Create, modify, and supply all required CAM, Sales, or customer reporting.

Investigate and provide resolution to any margin analysis inquiries received from the Margin Analysis team.

Respond to and complete all required corporate account customer projects, including but not limited to pricing/AP portals, order/ship to location audits, and company/data/communication updates or process improvements.

Education / Experience / Training 

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in related work experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Chemical Distribution with broad product familiarity and general knowledge of organizational functions (customer service, sales, operations, procurement, etc.).
  • Direct work experience in Customer Support or Sales Support.

 

Specialized Knowledge / Skills

  • Robust business acumen with a thorough understanding of the chemical distribution business, including quality requirements, documentation, etc.
  • Strong commercial acumen demonstrated to communicate routinely with sales, customers, management, customer service, product management, and other key stakeholders.
  • Sound organizational, prioritization, and time management skills to oversee diverse and significant requirements in high-pressure and time-sensitive situations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for interface and collaboration with all organizational levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, tact, and discretion while interacting internally and externally.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to meet customer and team objectives, including but not limited to profitability, order accuracy, data integrity, etc.
  • Ability to analyze pricing and order data, including profitability, logistics, order patterns, and incoterms to identify optimization solutions for Univar Solutions and the customer.
  • Sound analytical, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills articulated effectively with team members, partners, and customers.
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to navigate Univar Solutions systems (Salesforce, SAP, Tableau, SharePoint, etc.) preferred.
  • Conveys a positive, can-do attitude with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced changing work environment.
