We have currently an open position in our Business Unit Chemical Distribution as Inside Sales. We offer you the opportunity to be responsible for developing our portfolio with companies in Belgium with various purchasing behaviour. This is first a replacement work contract with the possibility to make it permanent.
Your key tasks will be :
- Develop effective relationships at multiple levels within the customer and actively search for new product/service opportunities.
- Effectively negotiate commercial terms under credit control department (price, etc.) with customers
- Follow-up the sales cycle (proposals, sample, etc.)
- Deliver on the market share, volume, turnover and gross margin targets, develop new prospects proactively and monitor competitive activity.
- Represent suppliers well and exchange market information effectively between the key business partners whilst maintaining our compliance responsibilities
- Maintain the CRM system on customer records and developments
- Maintain permanent contact with the customer base by telephone, respecting the targets provided
- Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers via phone or virtual calls
- Establishing clear market picture: Customers, Applications, and Competitors
- Identify lost business
- Create the sample of the product for the customer's needs. (formulation support etc.)
- Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions
- Participate to sales projects
- Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts.
- Calculating client quotations.
- Administering client accounts, follow-up on the sales cycle. (Proposals, sample,)
- Analysing costs and sales (to give advice for increase sales and decrease cost)
- Recording and maintaining client contact data
Your profile:
- Strong commercial acumen
- Fluent written and spoken in Dutch and French, good knowledge of English
- Previous experience from a B2B sales supportive function, preferably from the distribution business
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- A service-minded nature, strong customer focus
- Excellent in relationship building and in sales execution
- Strong teamwork believer and network builde
