Although Univar Solutions is a leading, multi-billion-dollar global product supplier spanning chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, cosmetics, and anything else you could think of, serving more than 80,000 customers across 100 countries, our strength is taking the global channels and delivering to European producers, wherever they may be.

The Challenge

You will be our local Product Managers within solvents in the Benalux area  with a portfolio of strategic suppliers and products. It’s a fast-paced, exciting role where you will work with both the internal and external market.

Your Key Responsibilities in This Role:

Responsibilities & duties include, but are not limited to:

• Achieving sustainable volume and profit growth of your product portfolio
• Manage your own portfolio / budget / supplier performance & relations
• Ensure that sales activity and target pipeline is aligned to deliver planned growth. 
• Implementation of a defined pricing strategy, monitor, update selling schedules and any price movements when appropriate
• Effective management of Product Portfolio in line with Working Capital KPI's
• Providing commercial product and market updates
• Work closely with Sales to provide commercial support, and ensure awareness of product specifications, sourcing and purchasing arrangements, availability, and pricing
• Liaise with Supply Chain to determine forecasts and appropriate stock levels

Our Expectations for the Background of a Successful Candidate:

·         Bachelor or Master degree in Economics / Marketing / Chemical Sciences / Engineering.

·         A proven commercial track record, preferably within the industry.

·         Solid analytical skills.

·         Willing and able to work in an international environment

·         Strong project management skills.

·         Able to adapt under time pressure and ever changing circumstances.

·         Ability to lead and manage internal / external stakeholders.

·         Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint), SAP, SFDC.com

·         Excellent negotiation skills

·         Fluent in English / Dutch.
