Duties

We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Coordinator to join our Supplier & Product Management team in the iChems business, based at/near to Manchester/Widnes Univar site. The successful applicant will have responsibility for some suppliers as well as supporting the Product Manager on the growth and development of the whole iChems portfolio to maintain our business growth that is integral to the success of this portfolio.   

Reporting into the Product Manager (UK based), you will ensure products are available for sale, pricing is correct and all product information and data is up to date to ensure we execute on our key initiatives to deliver profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Interact between suppliers/supply chain/sales on commercial matters including product availability and allocation.
• Regular ongoing review of the existing portfolio of products/suppliers to maximise profit and new product developments.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Work with the wider iChems team to deliver strategic growth.
• Manage Change Control through the business
• Control selling prices to maximise gross margins
• Ensure action plans and processes are in place and adhered to

• Understand product ranges and keep abreast of industry and market trends.
• Adherence to regulatory compliance
• Drive the sales team to ensure technical and commercial support and with supply chain operations to enable stock management excellence
• Deliver business analysis & reporting as required.

Who we are

iChems portfolio consists of a large range of commodity products which will be sold into the UK Chemical Distribution Industrial business.

We Are Looking For

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of a year’s commercial experience (sales, product management). You will be a confident communicator with the ability to handle, manage, understand and communicate across all functions EMEA wide. You will be commercially minded and have a track record of successful achievement in reaching pricing targets and/or cost management efficiencies and supplier negotiations. Have the ability to handle a diverse and significant workload and develop and grow positive relationships with key customers and suppliers. The successful applicant will be an organised, disciplined self-starter with a desire to succeed and develop.
