Primary Purpose:
This role will be the finance support for the global Focused Industries business and will act as the finance partner for the business. The role will focus on supporting the initiatives of the business by providing financial leadership across multiple geographies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate monthly financial results, providing insights and analysis to guide decision making.
  • Build close business partnerships with the Commercial VP of the focused industry, and provide timely insights into business performance and issues.
  • Collaborate closely with accounting across multiple jurisdictions to ensure that business performance is accurately recorded and supervised.
  • Provide leadership, financial expertise and strategic partnership to business leaders. Examples include modelling Capex opportunities, supplier/customer contract review and analysis of new business opportunities.
  • Work with commercial, key account support and legal functions to improve governance around contract review process and risk management (e.g. price compliance).
  • Effectively use and influence other functions/resources to collectively support the success of the global focused industry

  • Thrives in a fast paced, changing environment while serving the needs of multiple stake-holders.
  • Effective people manager to build / lead a strong team.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance from fully accredited four-year institution is required.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years’ work experience in Accounting/Finance with a track record of continual promotion to progressively reach more responsible positions.
  • Proven understanding of source data systems (SAP, BW), excel, finance master data, and data flows across multiple systems; solid PowerPoint skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, management reporting and analytics, planning and forecasting, cost flows, accounting policies and procedures.
  • Financial modeling skills in excel and reporting skills in Tableau.
  • Past experience working in a multi-cultural and global environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of the distribution industry and chemical industry is preferred.
  • MBA and/or CPA a plus.
