Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of integrated customer services.  Manages against expectations established between Univar Solutions and key customers to ensures that expectations are met. Partners with Supply Chain, Procurement, Sustainability, ChemCare, Operations and Sales for timely completion of project objectives and escalates as necessary. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute implementation plans for customer solutions including blending; consolidation; sustainability/circularity strategies 
  • Revise project plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Work closely with customer contacts to ensure that Univar and customer are conforming to the agreed upon programs, contracts, and etc. 
  • Find and advance opportunities to meet customer objectives including but not limited to KPI build out and tracking, total cost of ownership, savings, increase sustainable/circularity in supply chain, blending, and etc. during project execution. 
  • Act as primary point of contact for PMM, supplier, and/or customer for project scoped initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates to product, operations, local sales and the Key Account teams regarding project progress
  • Maintain detailed reports of the project timelines and milestones. 
  • Continuously identify supply chain and/or business risk and present mitigation solutions. 
  • Collaborate with PMM to negotiate indirectly or directly with supplier base. 
  • Conduct analysis of logistics, order patterns, product offsets to identity synergy/optimization solutions for customer. 

 

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • A wide knowledge and established network within the chemical distribution industry
  • Strong skills in financial management and analysis
  • Strong skills in collaboration within all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of Sustainability concepts such as Circular Economy, Systems Thinking, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
  • Experience implementing new customer solutions (i.e. sustainability, blends, and consolidation) 
  • High level of decision-making ability, balancing customer needs and company objectives
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to handle diverse and significant objectives
  • Knowledge of and relationships with key suppliers
  • Ability to analyze significant amounts of information and identify opportunities within customer and economic trends
  • Working knowledge of various enterprise applications and transaction systems (CRM, ERP, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving ability
  • Commitment to accountability for performance in area of responsibility
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Be adept at adjusting to changing priorities 

        
Education/Training:

  • Degree in Environmental/Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry or another related field 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the waste, chemical, petrochemical, and/or related industries 
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Direct work experience in procurement or supply chain
  • Proven experience in project management, implementing new customer solutions, strategic planning, risk management and change management
