Primary Purpose:

This position oversees the freight payment and audit process and manages carrier freight payment relationships; ensuring exception common carrier invoices are processed on a timely and accurate basis and that carriers are supported to promote on time payments.

What you will do:

• Lead team who manually audit and process exception common carrier invoices that cannot be systematically processed through Cass, third-party freight payment and audit system.
• Coach team to work with carriers as a freight payment advisor, being customer-focused and solutions-oriented, to support on time payments that will promote long-standing and trusting relationships.
• Manage carrier inquiries received through Transportation Invoicing Inbox, ensuring responses are timely and accurate to support on time payments that will promote long-standing and trusting carrier relationships.
• Support Internal Audit and TransAudit (post audit recovery) requests.

What you will need:

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to analyze information with strong attention to detail and integrity.
• Excellent customer service focus, results oriented.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and dedication to working in team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and grow a team.
• 1 – 3 years of supervisory experience in transportation, logistics or accounting.
• Previous experience in distribution environment preferred.
• Specific experience in SAP and SAP TM is a plus.
