This role will serve as the primary contact and HR business partner to leaders within the Commercial organization and will collaborate with colleagues at sites across the U.S. business in the delivery of frontline HR support to each team. As a member of each individual Commercial leadership team, the HR Manager will work to develop HR strategies and interventions to hire, motivate, grow, and retain high quality talent, enabling the business to meet its objectives and maintain high levels of performance.




  • Providing guidance and thought partnership to managers and leaders to resolve talent challenges impacting the business (interpreting and applying policies/programs, employee relations, coaching, performance management, development planning,
  • Ensuring the recruitment and onboarding of high-quality talent capable of supporting the short and long-term needs of the business in conjunction with managers and the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Conducting succession and talent planning for critical roles and talent segments within the business
  • Helping leaders develop and implement plans which increase employee engagement and drive retention of critical talent
  • Leveraging change management and communication skills to support leaders
  • Leading or supporting HR projects to help improve processes, implement programs, or support the integration of our legacy companies
  • Conducting investigations in response to employee complaints and ensuring
  • Administering HR programs and processes in conjunction with corporate partners (i.e. employee medical leave)



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, psychology, or a related field, with at least 7 years of previous HR generalist work experience and demonstrated career progression over time.
  • HR functional knowledge of disciplines such as total rewards, talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, and compliance/investigations required.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge leaders to help drive high quality management decisions and gain commitment
  • Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast paced and demanding environment. A high level of responsiveness and sense of urgency is critical.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with and across multiple levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data to identify issues and develop solutions.
  • Previous experience supporting sales organizations and/or in the chemicals or ingredient industry a plus.
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM, HRCI) a plus
