Job summary - purpose of the role
The Assistant Finance Controller supports the Financial Controller TR to oversee the company financial and accounting activities in the country. He/She uses accounting and economic skills to evaluate operating data, detect business trends and prepare financial statements that comply with industry practices, regulatory requirements and accounting principles. The Assistant Finance Controller reports directly to the Financial Controller TR, and requires an advanced degree in accounting, auditing or finance.
Responsibilities & duties
• Ensures accounting practices are in compliance with legal guidelines and group requirements
• Assists the controller for an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close
• Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalance then loads balance sheet reconciliation files
• Assists with preparations for annual / quarterly tax audit processes, independent audit processes and internal audits
• Recording leases subject to lease Accounting in the system and ensuring appropriate monitoring and internal controls.
• Complete the Tie-out procedures and perform the Blackline- related tasks within the system.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field (master’s preferred)
• At least 3 years’ experience in preferably Big 4 audit companies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly skilled accounting and financial processes
• Detail oriented and highly organized, the ability to prioritize tasks
• Solid understanding of Local GAAP/ US GAAP and applicable regulations
• Good command of MS Office applications.
• Fluency in English.
