Are you passionate about developing relationships with customers, have previous experience in sales and knowledge about the Food industry in the Nordic countries? Then you might be our next colleague!

 

As a member of the Nordics Food Ingredients Sales Team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and expanding Univar's business within an assigned customer base or territory to achieve the strategic objectives of the sales department and meet the annual budget. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with strategic accounts, dedicating substantial time to face-to-face interactions with customers to identify new business opportunities while also enhancing and solidifying existing relationships. Your activities will be driven by customer needs, which you will balance with the interests of the company.

 

What you´ll do:

  • Ensure efficient execution of the agreed sales targets. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic accounts and other customers in the agreed territory (Iceland, Norway, Sweden or/and Denmark).
  • Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies.
  • Support, improve, and complete the annual business plan as well as work on creating and converting a credible pipeline through identification of opportunities.
  • Drive sales projects and selling activities: initiate, set up and complete projects. Attend conferences and marketing events. 
  • Use reporting tools as required (Sales Force), update customer and order situations, respond to sample requests and make client quotations.
  • Communicate and liaise with other members of the sales team, product management, customer service, technical and other departments locally and in the wider business. 

 

What you´ll need:

  • You likely have a couple of years of sales experience, preferable from the food or ingredients industry.
  • You will bring your strong ability to build customer relationships, and we will provide the necessary coaching.
  • Being curious is always a great trait and probably makes the job more interesting.
  • To be native speaking in one of the Nordic languages. The company´s language is English so you also need to be professional in that.
  • To be proactive, sales-driven, and goal-oriented, with the ability to identify customer needs and turn them into business opportunities. Structured work approach.
  • To be a hard-working team player and can easily adapt and prioritize under changing circumstances
  • Having excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to operate at various levels within the organization and understand international environments.
  • Being result-oriented and work focused to achieve the desired results.
  • Availability to travel in the Nordic region and a driver's license is required.
