About the position: The Sales Manager primary responsibility is to develop, implement, and execute strategic plans to retain and grow sales through leading and supporting a sales team. This includes managing all aspects of the employee life-cycle for Account Managers in Northern Alberta. This role defines and refines sales processes and sales roles, sets sales territories, and defines resource needs in collaboration with other Sales Managers to best meet and exceed supplier, customer, and internal expectations.
  
What you’ll do:

  • Establishes annual and quarterly sales and sales pipeline targets for respective industry that successfully integrate with overall business team or company strategies 
  • Participates in customer interactions to assist the sales team in retaining business and attaining new business
  • Sets quarterly performance expectations and coaches, trains and aligns employee performance in all interaction centers to attain product line objectives and targets
  • Participates actively in Recruiting and Employee Life Cycle Management planning to address key talent opportunities and risks. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Determine & establish appropriate collaboration and communication points (people, teams, organizational relationships) to achieve team advantages & customer targeted solutions
  • Other tasks as assigned

 
What we would like from you:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in a related field 
  • Experience in a business-to-business sales organization with 5+ years sales or leadership experience; Chemical sales experience is an asset  
  • Experience with customer and territory management
  • Experience and knowledge of using PC and Windows; MS Office Suite; Salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of pricing and marketing strategy
  • Effective and engaging communication skills  
  • Ability to relate to, and communicate with individuals at all levels  #LI-VL1
