Primary Purpose:

The Executive Compensation Lead is responsible for implementing and coordinating the execution of Executive Compensation processes, projects and policies and will partner with Legal, HR and Finance in doing so. This role will provide timely, relevant communications for distribution to the top executives, as well as the Board of Directors. At times, this role will interface directly with these groups. This role will also partner with Univar Solutions’ external Compensation Consultant regarding Compensation Committee matters.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Ensure timely, accurate execution of global equity processes, including the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

 

Serve as the primary liaison to the Stock Plan Administration Vendor to audit data, monitor file feeds and prepare import files.

 

Manage compensation data, reporting and governance for the global Director and VP, including offer design, pay changes and the annual LTI modeling and grant.

 

Ensure accurate delivery of quarterly and annual compensation elements to the Board of Directors.

 

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree from fully accredited four-year institution is required
  • Strong business acumen and concise, professional communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and resolve ambiguous and complex issues
  • Process and detail orientation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt communication message and style to an audience
  • Demonstrates strong sense of resiliency in a fast-changing environment.
  • Establishing project plan tools to effectively track progress and identify issues, removing barriers and leveraging resources

 

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • 6-8 years’ experience in Compensation, equity administration and/or Finance
  • Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills
  • Experience communicating with the C Suite and Board of Directors
