Title:  Digital Product Manager - Customer Information Management

Primary Purpose:
Are you a data-minded and detail-focused digital pioneer ready to help build a world-class customer information platform? We are seeking to add a Digital Product Manager – Customer Information Management to our team. In this role you will accelerate our digital transformation by building a product roadmap and delivering solutions that collect, unify, and manage customer data.

 

We are looking for a genuinely curious, inspiring leader who will immerse himself/herself in our processes to deeply understand current challenges, processes and challenge the status quo to launch new capabilities that will drive profitable growth.You will be responsible for creating and owning the roadmap to create a personalized experience through a better understanding of customer interactions and data.

 

The incumbent will:

  • Own capabilities: Continuously monitor, review, and improve people, process, technology, and assets used to create new value for the enterprise including:
  • Customer Acquisition: Customer recognition, verification
  • Customer Growth: Segmentation, Authenticated Profile
  • Customer Retention: Journey Management, Health, Loyalty
  • Deliver the product strategy and roadmap: define the vision, identify its focus, how we will get there, and the sequence of activities required to meet the vision of providing an exceptional customer experience: This includes:
  • Identifying and defining internal features that provide the right level of control and automation to build the best personalized customer experience
  • Presenting information to various channels at the right time to initiate valuable workflows
  • Improving the customer experience by using internal and external data sources
  • Partner with engineering and partners to build a Customer Data Platform (CDP) that is both rigorously accurate and flexible, enabling data availability for product intelligence, reporting, customer segmentation and other use cases that drive growth and support the business.
  • Provide thought leadership: help define the product roadmap through deep business partnership with customer service, commercial, marketing, and advanced analytics.
  • Build the business case: Create justification for new investment / development; be accountable to deliver the proposed value, benefits, and objectives
  • Socialize globally: Accelerate adoption in the enterprise globally
  • Measure critical metrics – defines and reports performance of leading and lagging indicators against goals

 

Deliverables:

  • Develop the product roadmap that identifies where we will focus, how we will get there, and the sequence of activities required to meet our goals. Create justification for new developments and drive a cross-functional team to deliver the proposed value, benefits, and objectives
  • Understand business requirements of our partners and work closely with internal development teams to guide the direction of activities. Identify problems in the process and quickly implement testable solutions that remove effort and friction in the experience.
  • Create tools and materials required to promote and socialize and implement digital capabilities throughout the enterprise
  • Work with development partners to prioritize epics and user stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Prepare and give detailed data-driven business reviews to senior leadership to provide transparency into progress, socialize learning, and drive additional investment / funding decisions
  • Capture customer insights and provide voice of customer feedback to enhance the digital product backlog

 

Financial Responsibility:

  • Measure and report performance of development efforts against business case assumptions.
  • Manage projects / initiatives through the stage gate to ensure projects in portfolio optimized for needs of the business.

 

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, business, related quantitative field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in digital product management
  • Experience with CRM, Marketing Automation Platforms, and Customer Data Platforms (CDP)
  • Experience leading and/or collaborating with cross functional team to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
  • Solid understanding of distribution industry
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present to various levels of the organization

 

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles.
  • Understanding of SAP and/ or SalesForce.com preferred.
  • Experience working with global B2B pricing strategies.
  • Experience working with product development lifecycle.
