Primary Purpose:

The Digital Product Manager – Ecommerce role is responsible for setting the strategy execution for Univar Solutions internationally and creating an exceptional customer experience for customers of our online channels. You will lead a cross-functional sprint team to define and document the combination of people, process, technology, and assets required to continue acquiring new customers and to grow sales through Ecommerce. You will build the Global digital roadmap, define the strategy, and drive the development of capabilities that will differentiate our Digital customer experience from product research to purchase.

 

Reporting to Senior Product Manager, the Digital Product Manager will:

  • Develop the long-range product strategy identifying the key areas of focus and supporting capabilities required to deliver an outstanding experience for digital customers
  • Identify, research, and analyze customer problems and needs. Works closely with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, and Digital IT to quantify opportunities, document costs, and forecast adoption
  • Define product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities prioritized according to business value
  • Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and at planning sessions.
  • Prioritize epics and user stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Collect customer insights and provide voice of customer feedback to improve the product backlog
  • Set benchmarks for our competitors, the industry and practices that differentiate the digital experience

Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or similar, relevant field.
  • 5+ years of related eCommerce Product Management experience
  • Understanding of web platforms and technology
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvements and find solutions
  • Developing a product roadmap and strategy for product development
  • Leading and/or collaborating with cross functional team to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines
  • Identifying operational issues, and implementing strategies to resolve problems
  • Working with partners in Finance to build the case to rationalise ongoing investments.
  • Measuring and reporting on performance of development efforts against business case assumptions.
