As a member of the Advanced Analytics team, the Digital Analytics Manager will be responsible for delivering analytics for our global digital capabilities. The ideal candidate will combine a strong knowledge of Web Analytics, Digital Analytics applications, Reporting and financials to drive analytics within digital platforms, produce actionable insights and create data-driven recommendations for the organization. 

 

This role will work within the Advanced Analytics CoE to develop and communicate a deep understanding of relevant web behavior (what features are used), customer onsite search behavior (which products are searched), customer segments (what groups are buying), and purchasing trigger points.  This role will also support identification/development/deployment for advanced intelligence to be applied within the website.

 

This position will also formulate a strategy and approach to execute more complex ecommerce challenges such as global reporting across disparate systems of record, multi-touch marketing attribution, customer journey mapping, and lifetime value. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage creation of automated dashboards and reporting on KPIS for Ecommerce (global), Demand Capture (global), and Digital Sales Enablement team 
  • Work with IT in global regions to gain administrative access to relevant data sources to enable reporting in EMEA, LATAM, and Canada 
  • Identify relevant data from various disparate sources including Salesforce (leads and contacts), Magento (Doc downloads, registrations), Google Analytics (web session data), and other data sources such as UNITE data to populate our recurring reports (ex: Excom dashboard) 
  • Manage our Google Analytics to enable site tracking and multi-touch attribution on UnivarSolutions.com (adding google tracking tags to our various web assets to allow tracking) 
  • Manage our Google Shopping Ads product listings to ensure advertising and bidding is aligned with merchandised products and site is in compliance with Google requirement 
  • Works with Business Intelligence Analysts who support ad hoc data requests, implement web tracking and tagging, and measure the performance of Univar Solutions’ ecommerce platform 
  • Manage development, distribution and maintenance of accurate and timely reporting utilizing a variety of analytics tools and data sources 
  • Support the Digital Product Managers and Customer Experience teams with analytics to improve and optimize the website 
  • Report on customer, product, digital marketing, and ecommerce insights and trends to senior leadership and the team at large. 
  • Enable automated and integrated dashboards to report KPIs across global Ecommerce, Marketing Automation, and Digital Sales Enablement 
  • Develop and implement Google Analytics / UTM tagging in support of new functionality and marketing campaigns to enable multi-touch attribution, tracking and reporting through the customer’s digital journey 
  • Partner with IT resources in various regions to establish requirements and enable reporting for global initiatives. Integrate reporting in established dashboards 

 

Skills:

  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Tableau or QlikView, SQL, and Excel
  • Experience creating business models in Excel 
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn new tools and ability to identify trends and anomalies in large data sets 
  • Familiar with R or Python for data analysis with JavaScript for tracking and analytics 
  • Experience deploying analytical solutions for digital platforms
  • Familiar with SalesForce reporting 
  • Experience working with SAP 
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, engineering, computer science, finance or other relevant field 
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in ecommerce analytics and customer transaction analysis 
  • Specific focus on and interest in user behavior analysis, customer segment analysis, and sales analysis  Experience implementing Google Analytics and tagging for engagement measurement. 
  • Ability to translate complex data in to business stakeholders 
  • Familiarity with enterprise data analysis and common management reporting platforms 
  • Intellectual curiosity and business acumen 
  • Detail and deadline oriented.
