As a Corporate Account Manager for Univar Solutions' Food Ingredients segment, you will be responsible for all corporate accounts assigned in a geographic area.  Grow profitably Univar Solutions' market share at existing corporate accounts using consultative selling process. Identify and capture new business opportunities at existing accounts and at prospective new corporate and multi-plant accounts. NOTE: We are open to where this position is based. 


As a Corporate Account Manager, you will:


  • Enhance Univar Solutions’ position within each corporate account using consultative, value selling at all levels within the account
  • Create and execute on short, medium and long-term customer growth strategies
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities including international chemical distribution and waste management
  • Set pricing, as well as maintain and coordinate customer quotations
  • Responsible for coordinating at all levels within Univar including senior leadership, local sales, purchasing and operations to ensure overall customer satisfaction


Education & Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Broad knowledge and experience with the chemical distribution business
  • Minimum 10 years field sales experience
  • Extensive technical and business acumen in the food manufacturing industry strongly preferred
  • Management experience a plus


Knowledge & Skills needed:

  • A strong track record of driving growth by developing and executing strategic initiatives within a customer base
  • A wide knowledge and established network within the chemical distribution industry
  • Strong presentational skills and experience in making “formal presentations” to groups at all levels within an organization
  • Strong skills in financial management and analysis
  • Strong skills in team building, coaching and collaboration with all levels of the organization
  • High level of decision-making ability, balancing customer needs and company objectives
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to handle diverse and significant objectives
  • Confident in learning, understanding and using a consultative, value selling approach
  • Knowledge of and relationships with key suppliers
  • Understanding of supply chain management
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Salesforce.com
  • Ability to analyze significant amounts of information and identify opportunities within customer and economic trends
