Primary Purpose:
Leads development and administration of compensation programs and processes that enable the attraction and retention of top talent. Serves as the subject matter expert for the Company’s base pay and incentive programs, including consultation, vendor management, communication, ongoing program governance, policy development and issue resolution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures successful delivery of Univar’s global broad-based pay programs including salary reviews and broad-based incentive plans. Works with internal and external partners to ensure program efficiency and effectiveness. Develops program and process guidelines considering strategic objectives and external market practices.
  • Develops recommendations for broad-based pay program governance including developing job evaluation methodology/approach, job grades, pay structures and job evaluation systems. Facilitates consensus between key partners and drives implementation.
  • Manages annual salary review process globally including transaction processes in SuccessFactors. Identifies appropriate metrics to report to partners.
  • Supports production and ensures accuracy of Board materials. Supports executive compensation compliance activities such as government form filings and proxy disclosures.
  • Supports strategy and design of incentive programs.
  • Responsible for administration of equity compensation delivery including assessing share ownership, vendor/system management and proper tax calculation/reporting.
  • Responsible for external pay survey submissions and related analysis.
  • Manages the broad-based incentive plans which includes monthly reconciliation of eligible population, incentive changes, target changes. In addition, partner with finance to determine accruals
  • Ensures broad-based pay programs are effectively communicated to ensure the program meets its strategic objectives for driving results, attracting, motivating and retaining employees.
  • Partners with HR Operations and HRIS to ensure system configuration, business processes are designed and used to deliver accurate broad-based pay programs for the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: proactively identifies areas that can be improved and collaborates with partners to constructively propose options and facilitate consensus to implement new solutions that increase value and improve business performance and effectiveness.
  • Lead and participate in special projects. Serves as subject matter expert and liaison between corporate and regional teams on special projects which involve revision, modeling, development and/or re-design of existing compensation programs/systems.
  • Works with HR business partners to complete various job offers, job evaluations and promotions

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources – Masters preferred
  • 8+ years’ experience with continual growing responsibilities.
  • CCP, PHR, SPHR – a plus
  • Black Belt or Green Belt, a plus
  • Large metrics organization experience preferred
