Job Summary – Purpose of Role
Responsible for the financial accounting of multiple European entities serviced by the EFC.

Responsibilities & Duties
Management of a finance team, including managing manager(s), as well as Financial Accountants
•    Job coaching and career development
•    HR management (appraisals, recruitment etc)

Responsible for financial accounting of multiple European entities, to include:
•    Approval of journals posted by team
•    Review and control of balance sheet reconciliations
•    Responsible for month end processes
•    Main contact for auditors looking at these entities (statutory auditors; group auditors; internal auditors; SOX auditors; bank auditors)
•    Technical accounting support to team and local businesses
•    Ensuring SOX compliance of processes and procedures

Main point of contact with local management teams in each entity
•    Relationship management
•    Escalation point for issues in GL, AP and Cash Allocation

Continuous improvement
•    Identifying and improving efficiency and compliance of processes

Input into the strategic planning of the department

Ad-hoc duties and project work as required
Qualifications & Skills
CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with management experience
People leadership experience in a fast-paced, multi-regional department
SAP experience advantageous
Strong financial accounting background

Success Measures
Timely and accurate month end reporting for all entities within your remit

Statutory accounts filed within group deadlines without audit issues

High standard of SOX compliance – no SOX issues and positive feedback from Internal Audit / Controllership teams

Able to demonstrate improvements to processes that have achieved efficiency, effectiveness or compliance benefits

Key Stakeholders
FP&A Lead for local business on an ongoing basis

EMEA Controllership team for technical accounting issues

AP Managers on a regular basis to improve the accuracy of postings and quality of processes and interaction between the teams

CI Manager on an ad hoc basis to help coordinate and drive CI activity within the team
