At ChemPoint, the Supply Chain Analyst – Logistics Integration serves a vital role in ChemPoint’s Supply Chain by assembling and analyzing warehouse monthly spend, producing trend analysis, and proposing ways spend can be reduced. The analyst also performs ad-hoc cost analysis to be used in strategic and high-level business decisions, including implementing and executing network optimization initiatives. When new business is presented that the current network cannot support, the Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for gathering product requirements, prospecting for new vendors, qualifying vendors, and implementing the new relationship.

 

A DAY IN YOUR NEW CAREER:

  • Develops, presents, and recommends plans, solutions, and strategies associated to network optimization.
  • Runs, assembles, and analyzes monthly warehouse spend to identify trends.
  • Presents findings and recommendations in monthly meetings to Supply Chain leadership.
  • Identifies, develops, and fosters new third-party relationships to fit business, as needed
  • Gathers product requirements to understand business needs and establish requirements for new prospective partnerships.
  • Conducts initial prospecting and qualification of vendors; creates and presents recommendation to management.
  • Implements and maintains new vendor relationships.
  • Prepares detailed documentation (process diagrams & reports) to monitor and assess efficiencies.

 

DESIRED BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3+ years working experience in supply chain, logistics, or related field.
  • Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; effectively conveys ideas and concepts via multiple modes of communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to problem-solve, critically think, and find solutions to complex problems.
